Business Analyst

Fonecta employs 200 marketing professionals and runs a €50m marketing budget on behalf of its customers. The Fonecta brand is one of Finland’s most well-known and our web pages rank among the highest in traffic. Fonecta is sharpening its strategy at the end of 2020 and plans a brand repositioning campaign in early 2021 to better align the external perception of the company with our new strategy and business objectives. Our mission is the growth and digitalization of the Finnish economy via our customer base.

Business Analyst is responsible for supporting product management in strategic & commercial analyses. Your top priority will be to conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses to support topics related to customer segmentation, customer lifecycle/lifetime value, churn prevention, upsell/cross sell, competitor benchmarking and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:

  • Independently & proactively conduct solid qualitative and quantitative analyses, combining Fonecta internal data & expertise with external data sources
  • Prepare benchmark analyses e.g. on competitors & their portfolio, as well as existing & potential Fonecta partner companies (e.g. technology platform providers, subcontractors)
  • Provide product management with commercial insight to guide & support portfolio planning & pricing
  • Provide company management with analyses & insights to support strategic decision making
  • Support investment planning and support related business case preparation
  • Support definition of operational metrics & KPIs, as well as their implementation across the organization
  • Support defining metrics, analytics and reporting to dynamically steer our investments for maximum impact, and collaborate with IT & Finance teams on setting the related data & reporting views
  • Effectively collaborate with specialists in other teams to share, refine & validate insights

Expectations:

  • Proven analytical background, with demonstrated ability to conduct quantitative & qualitative analyses ·Strong communication/interpersonal skills, and experience working with senior decision makers
  • Strong business judgement and ability to connect the dots ·Proficiency in financial modelling and analytics, use of macros and automation
  • Advanced skills with Excel and BI/reporting tools ·Experience in the following topics considered an advantage:
    • Strategy definition, management of company’s strategy process
    • Pricing, customer segmentation, CLV & churn analyses
    • Digital marketing & sales expertise
    • Product management & related methodology
    • Customer research & related methodology
    • B2B industries – especially focused on SMEs
  • Masters’ degree or equivalent in business administration, or another relevant topic
  • Fluent in Finnish and English
  • Go-do-it attitude and hunger for success
